How to Rent or Buy Costumes online
We can ship costumes virtually all over the world. You can rent most of our costumes for shipment anywhere in the US and you can buy most of our costumes for shipment virtually anywhere in the free world. 

General Ordering Information

To Place an Order, simply add the costume(s) you wish to rent or buy to your basket by clicking the [PURCHASE] or [RENT] button corresponding to the costume desired.  Once you’ve added all the costumes you can proceed to checkout and finish the transaction by providing shipping and personal information. 

Providing measurements

Certain costumes will require that you provide detailed measurements and sizing information for the person or persons wearing the costume.  Such costumes will be identified with (measurements required) in the cart and you will not be able to finish checkout until all the measurement information is entered for each item in your basket that requires measurements.  There are no refunds or credits issued for incorrect measurements.  Please measure carefully.  For further information on obtaining measurements click here.

Minimum Order

Because of the amount of time and effort required to assemble and ship costumes, Buffalo Breath imposes a minimum order amount of $75.00.  This amount is excluding any taxes and shipping charges.

Shipping Charges

Whether you are renting or buying the costume, you are responsible for all shipping charges.  When purchasing costumes you are responsible for one-way shipping charges to you and when you are renting you are responsible for shipping the costumes to you AND the return shipping back to us.

Whether renting or buying, you as the customer are solely responsible for selecting the appropriate shipping method to ensure that your order arrives in time for your event.  We recommend that you chose a traceable shipping method with guaranteed delivery to ensure you get the costume when expected.  FED-EX overnight, UPS second day or UPS 3-day select are good examples traceable shipping methods.  We process and ship most orders within two work days (M-F) of receipt of final order.   Please add those days to the transit time.

Courier Service

If you are coming into San Diego from out of town and staying at a hotel in town, we can offer you a courier service to your hotel.  If you chose this option the courier fee will not be charged at the time of checkout.  Your card will be charged separately once the exact courier fees are determined.  By selecting this method of delivery you are authorizing us to charge your card to recover courier fees in both direction incurred by us.  Courier fees typically range from $20 to $50 each way depending the day of the week and the distance of the hotel to our store.

Costume Condition

If you wish to purchase rather than rent a costume, we have three categories of Costumes for sale:

1. New – Never-worn costume
2. EX – Used, but Excellent condition. You would probably not know it wasn't new if we didn't tell you.
3. TH – Used, Theater condition, good condition, but some visible wear

Return Policy for purchased items

If you do not like the costume after you receive it, you may return it for the amount it would have cost to rent the same costume.  The returned package must be postmarked on the day after you received it.

Legal Stuff

By placing an order you are agreeing to the following:

1. You agree to assume full responsibility for all articles rented and agree to pay full retail price for all articles lost or damaged.
2. You understand that there are no cancellations or refunds once a costume has been reserved, even if it is not used.
3. You agree to pay a late fee for each costume not returned by its due back date. This fee is rated at 1/2 the daily rental fee for each late day.
4. You understand that you are responsible for packing the costume(s) properly for their return shipment; and to insure them with the carrier company against loss or damage.
5. You are at least 18 years old.
6. You authorize Buffalo Breath Costumes to use your credit card to pay for the rental fees, as well as any other fees that may accrue as outlined above.
